This e-book is for on-the-road multi-pet households. Nearly all hotels and motels accept pets, but most understandably frown on someone staying with three big dogs or five cats. This book gives practical advice for traveling with pets when the cost of long-term boarding is not an option. The author is a Workamper with pets--a modern day version of a hobo or bindle stiff. Working away from her home base, sometimes for months at a time. She drives back and forth from Washington state to southern New Mexico, usually with two or three dogs, and two to four cats.Traveling with critters requires patience and planning. Her motto is never be in a hurry, unless you are fleeing a natural disaster or a murderous ex. In this book she includes a chapter on leaving in a hurry.The author traveled and camped with donkeys, cats, dogs, chickens, snakes, a box turtle, white mice, pet rats, singing crickets, a tarantula, a centipede named Legs, and show hogs and a bull. As most folks don't take their laying hens, reptiles, rodents, or insects on expeditions, she'll mainly share ideas and stories about traveling and camping with cats, dogs, and donkeys. Most people don't take donkeys either, but readers might be interested in how-to handle livestock on the road.The author prefers to travel solo (she says it's one less critter to take care of). And she hopes this book gives confidence to people traveling with their pets. She's transported multiple dogs and cats in vehicles ranging from a 70s Honda car, a 70s Datsun car, Ford Taurus station wagon, Chevrolet station wagon, Datsun truck with no back seat, numerous full size trucks some with and some without the back seat (extended cab models), trucks with cabover campers, mini-motorhomes, regular panel vans and conversion vans. While writing this book she drove a 4-cylinder Toyota extended cab 4-wheel drive truck with a pop-up cabover camper, with three dogs and four cats. Counting her preteen years in 4-H, showing livestock and dogs at state and county fairs, she has about 50 years of experience traveling with critters.Her primary goal when traveling with animals is their safety and comfort. She hopes some of her experiences and tips makes traveling more fun for pet owners and their furry companions.She includes travel stories previously published in The Brayer and Gold Prospectors magazines. Plus lots of photos. The book is about 90 Kindle pages in length.
